Used the kit to clean and seal a very rusted 40’s era LA John Deere tank. Satisfied with the results. Worth the time and effort .
Good instructions. Make sure the tank is completely dry before pouring in the sealer. Lots of tilting and rolling the tank. Use the brush around the filler.
The Por-15 worked perfectly! I sealed my new gas tank and I’m bike to riding again.
Follow instructions exactly and you will be Amazed at your results. I had rust on weld lines and varnish in areas along with lower areas of surface rust - honestly I could have let it go but I was looking for a perfect restoration of the gas tank. Rust and imperfections were maybe a 3/10 (10 being unrepairable). I recommend using white vinegar with multiple hours soaking along with manual steel wool/ sanding for tough areas if you can get at it.(don't skip any steps). 'Bone Dry' prior to last step.... Used up about 10 pair of plastic gloves.... be careful with toxic nature of chemicals and use Well Ventilated area to avoid crushing headaches. Plan out steps mentally and physically prior to beginning process/ project. Good luck and prepare to be amazed.

It is important to understand each product in your repair kit and how it works. Proper chemical interaction is essential for achieving the best possible bond of the sealer to the inside of the tank. Fuel Tank Sealer does not adhere well to plastic. If your fuel tank contains plastic components inside, they should be removed before applying Fuel Tank Sealer.
